Rock On Kitty

Like most artists, I fear I’ll run out of time to learn all the art forms I’m interested in. In my fifteen years of making art, I’ve tried painting (digitally but also in oils, watercolours, gauche, acrylics), sculpture – specialising in ceramics, animation, filmmaking, illustration, drawing (digitally but also in pencils, charcoal, pastels, anything that could make a mark) and writing.

Sadly, I’m at the age now where priorities change and I’ve had to (temporarily – I know it’s only temporary!) give up some media to focus on others. Which is why I’ve set up a new company Rock On Kitty to specialise in children and young adult books and story apps. This represents the fusion of two of my favourite art forms – writing and illustration (and with a bit of luck animation will be thrown in). My first book Choose your Own Death is now available online – at my new website

and at Amazons:

It’s also distributed by Mary Ryan’s New Farm book shop and selected Dymocks stores.

I’ll still be keeping my blog theunreliablenarrator updated with my random art musings, my digital writing doctorate and experimental art projects – but all my work in children’s literature will be directed to the Rockonkitty blog.

Thanks for stopping by – hope you’re reading this while sipping a steaming tea in a fine bone porcelain cup and saucer in one hand and a salty caramel macaroon in the other.

Rock on forever!
