At last we have finished the short film The Backpack’. It’s a story I wrote last year based on a silly drawing of a girl carrying a gigantic backpack the size of a mountain. I eventually turned it into a short script and it got picked up by QPIX/ Screen Australia for their White Heat Production Programme. I ended up producing the film with Liam Hill as Director/lead animator, Dave Collinson as concept artist, John Grist, Francis Stanton and Sen Wong as animators and Lee Crockford as composer. As far as stress levels go, I had nothing to complain about the entire production. What a great creative team! The film will now be doing the festival rounds now but you can check out the trailer below.
